Willow + Tara by Crystal-Cat Willow + Tara by Crystal-Cat
In grade 12 we had to make books for an art project. Mine was a Buffy book, and I had decided to use this wood burning for the cover. I used a grid to draw the reference pic, since my art teacher wouldn't let me do otherwise. This was the only time I've ever wood burned, but I'd love to try it again.

Tara seems angry there, from her eyes.
Strange that the cross in the background, though.

It's how the original image was on the comic cover. :)

Which comic? I think I'd like to buy a copy.
I really am into the comics of that series.

It was a one-shot that came out back in 2001, I think. Amber Benson actually co-wrote it. It as titled 'WannaBlessedBe'.

I recall a story called "wannablessedbe", it's where one of Willow and Tara's aquaintances is being bullied by Kelly, the leader of the 'wicca group', and well, Tara has to watch this young lady to stop her from causing trouble; she summoned 'Morrigan' to protect her, but she had not thought to set limits to her 'helper', and Morrigan turns on her later on- kind-of like a genie in Arabic legends (I think, from what I have heard).

Actually I think it's one of very few, if not the only good Tara/Willow fanart I've seen around here! Thanks for sharing, I really adore your lines!

Thank you! :thanks:
Wood burning is basically drawing a picture or design onto a piece of wood using a 'pen' with a heated tip to burn the image into the wood. Hope that helps. :)

You did a beautiful job, but why is Tara wearing a cross? She HELD crosses in the show, but she never wore one. She's a wiccan witch, not a christian. Other then that you did an amazing job, I love the detail and especially in their hair and faces. Great job!

This picture is actually the cover of a comic that came out in 2001 I believe. That's what it was like on the cover, so that's why I kept it on her.

Ooooh. Huh. Well shame on them then for being inaccurate. An official comic should definitely know better! Well it does show how awesome your work is! ^^

Dude! That is so really awesome! Thanks for sharing! Wow, looks great for a first try! Haha, the most wood burning I've ever done is carving a name into a toy plane I made with a friend.
